The PUC held Evidentiary Hearings for the presentation of evidence by Duquesne Light Company and
designated participants on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, through Thursday, July 13, 2006.. These hearings
were held before Administrative Law Judge Fred R. Nene in an 11th
Floor Hearing Room, in Pittsburgh at the Pittsburgh State Office Building.

The PUC held Public Input Hearings on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 and Wednesday, June
28, 2006. The Public Input Hearings were held before Administrative Law Judge Fred R.
Nene at the Ross Township Municipal Building..

On March 23, 2006 and April 6, 2006, Prehearing Conferences were held at the State Office
Building before Administrative Law Judge, Fred R. Nene, to discuss procedural issues and to
schedule the Public Input and Evidentiary Hearings. |

On October 6, 2005, Duquesne Light filed an Amended Application to the Pennsylvania
Public Utility Commission. |

Duquesne Light and GAI Consultants participated in two public meetings in the
North Hills to review the Wildwood transmission line project. On June 8, a presentation
was made to the McCandless Council and residents.
A question-and-answer period followed. As part of a monthly Hampton Township meeting,
another presentation was given on Wednesday, June 22, before the Hampton Township
Board of Commissioners and residents. |

Duquesne Light Company filed an Application for Authorization to Site and Construct
a 138kV Transmission Line in Hampton Township and McCandless on March 4, 2005. |

The transmission line will be designed, constructed, operated and maintained to meet or exceed the
requirements of the current (2007) edition of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).

Duquesne Light Company contracted with GAI Consultants to complete a comprehensive
study of the projected environmental impacts of the selected line route and six
alternate routes. The Line Routing Study dated May, 2004 is part of the PUC Application.
